The James E. Cheek Learning Resource Center is the main library at Shaw University.  Our mission is: ‘to provide access to information that supports the University’s teaching and research goals and to enhance that access with current technology and exceptional services.'  Our goals are to strengthen our library through superior integration of technological expertise and services for teaching and learning.  We do that effectively with librarians and support staff who work to refine and improve their skills and create programs that will enhance the intellectual success of the students, faculty and staff of Shaw University.
