Shaw Announces Search for New Basketball Coach

 

Raleigh, NC - (March 14, 2008) Following three seasons at the helm of Men's Basketball at Shaw University, Coach Robert Brickey and the administration have mutually agreed on the non-renewal of his contract effective March 14, 2008.  Coach Brickey is currently looking to further his career by seeking enhanced opportunities.  Al Carter, Director of Athletics stated, "We appreciate and value the dedication and contributions of Coach Brickey to the athletic programming here at Shaw University.  The Shaw Family extends best wishes for his continued success in all future endeavors."

 

A national search to find a replacement will be commissioned expeditiously.  An announcement will be rendered upon review and final selection.
