Description
The Curriculum Materials Center is a facility, opened in January 1997 that houses a collection of resources to give support to the Shaw Teacher Education Program. The collection was started in 1960 and consists of:

- North Carolina adopted textbooks
- Curriculum guides
- Courses of study
- Standardized tests
- Audio-visual materials and equipment
- Bulletin board materials
- 3-D teaching aids; including games and kits
- Current selected Education serials
- Juvenile book collection
- Reference materials; including NC LIVE and other online resources
- Interactive Learning Stations
- HyperStudio Station
- Workroom
- PRAXIS Computer Lab (adjacent)
- Vertical files
- Professional materials in all concentrations
- Scanner and QuickCam digital camera
- Digital Still Camera
- Various equipment to aid in the development of classroom projects
