Gift Planning
Leave a Shaw University Legacy through Gift Planning
Planned giving, or charitable gift planning, is a way for individuals to provide financial support to Shaw University during their lifetime and even beyond. Many planned giving arrangements are typically made known in a will or trust that goes into effect
after the individual’s death.

The Alma Mater Society
The Alma Mater Society is Shaw University's program for honoring and giving gratitude to alumni and friends of Shaw University who have arranged a bequest or planned gift to the University. Anyone who notifies Shaw that the University is named as the
beneficiary of a gift through his or her estate, or through a planned gift during his or her lifetime, is automatically enrolled as a member of the Society.
